It's tough - we struggle with it too and often pull out the noodles and cheese, which my kids do like. but i've talked to some nutritionists who say that they won't starve, so even if they go to bed hungry one night, it won't kill them. and they don't have credit cards, so they have to eat what you serve. i know, much easier said than done. but stick to your guns! let me know if this works and then I'll try it : )

Wendy, I still look at your blog! I'm glad you are rededicating yourself to it. I did the same thing recently - looked back at Lucas when he was a baby and was amazed at how much I didn't remember until I looked at the blog. We'll be glad we did it : )

Hey Wendy! Here is the recipe.. smells good!

Kool-Aid Playdough
2 1/2 to 3 cups flour
2 cups boiling water with 1 package Kool-aid (any flavor)
3 tablespoons corn oil
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon alum

Mix ingredients and knead with flour (may take up to 1 extra cup). Use more if the dough draws moisture in high humidity. Keeps well, has a nice fragrance and is very colorful and very flexible.

Haha.. that's cute!! My favorite Lilly story like that is when we were doing the "name game," you know like Wendy Wendy bo bendy.. well I have a good friend named Chuck.. well let's just say I messed it up and did it one night.. yeah guess how that ended!! :) And then last week she came home for school to tell Jason that one of classmates said a bad word "at" her... Jason asked what he said and she told him that he called her stupid.. so Jason tells her that's not nice and she shouldn't ever tell anyone that... only to be interupted by Lilly saying, "And daddy he called me a little bitch." I bet Jason's face was priceless... I almost died (of laughter) when she called me at work to tell me about it! The things they come up with :)
