I had my first overnight trip last week, so Blair and Daddy got to bond. I had to go to Orlando for business and was away for 2 nights. The first night was tough on ol' Dad...between Blair pitching a fit and Daisy's (11-year old basset hound) ever-shrinking bladder, he didn't get much sleep. Night two went better, or so he thinks. According to him, he slept all night and he thinks Blair and Daisy did too. He later admitted that Blair could have screamed all night and Daisy could have peed all over the house, but he slept through it. I'm a little afraid of that statement...
We also took Blair on her first road trip this past weekend. We went to Mississippi to see my family, meet with my dad's estate lawyer and visit his grave. The trip usually takes 6 hours - it took us 8.5 this time, and Blair verbally expressed her displeasure with the ride for about 5 of those hours. Good times! She did great once we got there - she enjoyed seeing her Mimi and Aunt Cathy and everyone else. We took her with us to my dad's grave - he didn't get to meet her before he passed, so I guess that was my morbid way of introducing them. The trip home was much more pleasant. Only 7 hours, and only about an hour of verbal displeasure. Thank God for the leftover Tylenol with codeine.
And yes, she's still sick. I called the pediatrician Monday and they said to continue giving her the breathing treatments for 3-5 more days and if she still isn't better to bring her back in. I think they're getting tired of hearing from me!
Oh, and one more thing...Blair has learned a new "word" - she's saying "Oh" and poking her lips way out when she makes the sound! It is quite possibly one of the cutest things I've ever seen, not that I'm biased or anything.

We came home from Pembroke in 3 hours a few weeks ago. It was the shortest time since we had the kids! We didn't stop once, I was so excited! But the kids still cried the last 20 minutes or so...It gets better when you can turn them around, and when they can watch TV!
