A Very Southern Photo Shoot

During our trip to Shellman's Bluff last week (Blair had a blast - more on that to come), my sister arranged for a friend of hers to take some photos of the girls...aka Blair and Olivia. We were very excited, Jennifer had picked a beautiful place with lots of big oak trees in the background...very southern and beau-ti-ful.

Blair was, well, she was not in the best of moods on picture day. She fussed when I tried to feed her before we left. She screamed when I tried to brush her hair and wipe off her face. She hollered as I was getting her things together and loading the car. She pitched a wild hissy fit in the car on the way over to the picture location. She threw a fit when we got out of the car.

And then, she saw Jeff, our photographer for the day. I'm afraid my daughter has developed her first crush. The tears stopped immediately. The screaming and yelling were replaced by soft cooing. I swear, she immediately began flirting with this man like there was no tomorrow. If I had known that my hot hubby wouldn't have gotten offended, I would have asked this man to move in with us. If Blair was going to be this happy when he's around, I want him around all the time. Wonder if Brian and Jeff want to move to Utah? Oh, wait...can one woman be married to two men, or does that just work for men out there?

Then we put her in front of the camera, and the flirting intensified. This girl is destined to be a supermodel or something, because she is the biggest ham in front of the camera that I've ever seen. The end result was amazing. I'm not sure whether Jeff is that amazing of a photographer or if was just that he had two astoundingly adorable subjects, but we couldn't be more pleased with the pictures. Here are a few for your browsing pleasure:

This was the very first photo Jeff took of Blair - can't you see the awe and wonder she immediately felt for this new man in her eyes?

We're working really hard on our sitting skills. She did great for the photos - there were a few face plants and crashes into Olivia, but she did great otherwise. Guess she tried extra hard to impress Jeff.

Can't you just hear her saying "Back off Olivia - he's mine!"? Olivia doesn't look so sure...

I LOVE this picture - it looks like they were singing or something...maybe they were, I don't remember. I was too taken aback by the fact that my 9 month old had fallen in love.

I'm still not sure whether she was wearing that bow, or if that bow was wearing her.
