Blair attended her first pool party over the Memorial Day weekend, and we all had a blast! She's actually at that stage when new places and faces scare the begeebees out of her, so the first hour was a little...bumpy. I had bought her the neatest little lady bug float, and apparently I was way more excited about how much fun she was going to have in it than she was. Her first dip in the pool was "if-y" at best. The water was slightly on the cool side, so she wasn't exactly splashing around like I had envisioned. And as soon as we put her in the float, she started fussing...I was so disappointed!
After about an hour or so, she started to warm up to all the new faces and the new surroundings. So we decided to give the pool another whirl. She loved it! She kicked her legs and splashed her arms with the biggest and happiest smile you've ever seen. And she actually loved the float the second time around! Yay!! I actually wish that they made this float in grown-up sizes...it is really sweet. Underwater seat, shade, the works. We'll take it to the coast this summer for round two.
Here are a few pictures of the big day:
Say it with me..."Thank God she looks like her daddy." But let's hope she doesn't have his fashion sense - check out those pimp sunglasses! He was very proud of them...they only cost $0.97!

Look up the phrase "laid back" in the dictionary, and you'll probably see this picture.

After two rounds in the pool and a day in the sun, she was wiped out. She almost fell asleep laying in the grass!

Look how glassy her eyes are - she fell asleep in the car before we even made it off the Lamb's driveway.
